Needs Statements:
Mary, an enthusiastic hobbyiest pilot, needs a way to make flight planning faster and easier so she can spend more time flying and go to different places more often.
Louise, Mary’s right-seat pilot, needs way finding out more information on their destinations in order to be able to plan and schedule activities before they arrive.
We could develop a software program that pilots would enter into the computer the safe flying range of their aircraft and the software would then plot out every available airport in that radius, and give them an alphabetical list of the locations. They could start at the top and work their way through the list or they could print off the list and throw darts at it. We could go further and say once a location is selected the software would then calculate the flight planning information for that destination. On the day of the flight Mary would have to refresh the software so it had the current weather information.
Louise needs to find google….

Sketches – I don’t see these as ‘big ideas’, I’m not sure what I’m looking at.
The solution works – it fills the need.
